1Timothy 3 KJV.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> This is<\/em> a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop<\/strong>, he desireth a good work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On my office door, there is a writing which reads \u201cthe office of a Bishop\u201d. I am Bishop Paul.<\/p>\n

Who is a Bishop?<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those of you having problems getting the difference between a Bishop, a Pastor or an Elder; a Bishop is a Pastor, a Pastor is an elder and an elder is a Bishop. All these titles refer to one person in the office of God. If you like you can just call me brother Paul because I’m a believer like you but if you have to look at me with respect to the responsibility God has put on my shoulders, you will be not wrong to call me Bishop Paul or Pastor Paul or Elder Paul. What you can never call me is Apostle Paul.<\/p>\n

In the world\u2019s religious system, a bishop is this guy who has many churches under him\/her and has employed different pastors and they give him\/her money every Sunday in the name of tithes.<\/strong> So, he\/she is like a landlord\/lady collecting money from every church in name of \u201cI’m the one who started the church in Uganda and I have a pastor over there. I also have a church in Busia and I have assigned a Pastor to it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Back to<\/strong> 1Timothy 3 KJV.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The bible says\u2026. \u201c<\/strong>This is<\/em> a true saying, If a man desire the office<\/u><\/strong> of a bishop, he desireth a good work.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep Note:<\/strong> <\/span>Apostle Paul did not desire<\/strong> to become an Apostle. <\/strong>He became an apostle by the will and power of God and he even says he did not deserve to called an Apostle.<\/p>\n

1Corinthians 1 KJV.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Paul, called to be<\/em> an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1Corinthians 15 KJV.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

9<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On matters becoming a bishop\/Pastor\/Elder, one has to desire or develop an interest for it. The bible says \u201cIf a man desire the office of a bishop he desireth a good work<\/strong>\u201d. It is not a good work in the sense of making good money, but in the sense of being a servant of God working for God’s people.<\/p>\n

Back to<\/strong> 1Timothy 3 KJV.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife<\/strong>, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

An apostle has a free choice to make whether to get married or not. For a man to become a pastor and lead the church; he must marry and therefore called a husband of one wife. As a matter of fact, the bible never said, \u201cthe wife of one husband\u201d <\/strong>neither did it say, \u201cIf a woman desire the office of a bishop\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So, you know what this means? If you have a woman who’s calling herself a pastor. That\u2019s strange. A pastor must be a married man and not just a single dude nor a husband of two wives.<\/p>\n

The Bible says verses 4<\/span>\u2026 \u201c<\/span><\/strong>One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;<\/strong>\u00a05<\/span>\u00a0 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The bishop; the husband of one wife; must have authority in his house. He is the leader first in his house before he leads the church of God. He must be leading his wife and his children must be in subjection with all gravity.<\/p>\n

Facts;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
